The World is Perfect Just as it is!
Jan, you said that you liked the high energy that came from Reiki, that perhaps it can be addictive. I must agree. It connects us to our inner peace, to other people and to spiritual energy. I remember when I first started out doing Reiki that I often thought to myself, gee I hope someone calls and wants a session soon, I really need to do some Reiki on someone. It pulls us out of ourself and into the energy of life.
You also said that sometimes life feels right - on an intuitive level, and this I have found to be true as well.
When we meditate, do energy work, or tap the realm of spirit, we will find that everything just seems to be ok. Nothing troubles us in that space. How can that be when our conscious mind determines that this is one messed up world?
Deep inside, when all is quiet and still, our higher wisdom knows that the world is unfolding just as it needs to to meet the needs of all of us in it. Truth is the world is exactly perfect for we have created it and all the conditions in it.
It will heal and change as we heal and change. So no need to fight the state of the world, accept it as a perfect reflection of our group mind.
Want to make changes in the world....make changes in yourself.

It's been awhile since anyone posted here. I guess we're all enlightened and have no questions. Or we're so caught up in the mind that, all is lost - or disconnected, rather.
I had a wonderful moment of being in the now - and get recalled now and then yet - last summer during our gathering to "Give it back to the Earth". I think the idea was to focus on the energy flows of the earth and send our healing energies to give back a little of what we have taken and get us moving into a more responsible approach to our use of the planet. It was nice to do this together and focus our energies along with other groups at the same moment around the world to enhance those flows.
Now, in response to the point of your post. I had a powerful vision in that moment. As I felt the energy flows of my body and focused my little white light to go down into the earth with the others through a focus point, I became aware of a stream of energy that was so powerful, thick and bright and strong that I nearly was bowled over - certainly taken aback! - My flow/our flows were puny and tiny by comparison. The awareness grew that this was the Earth's flow - one of many, MANY! - and Strong beyond my imagination or belief. The Earth, indeed, is atuned with the universe and on its "right" course. We are but a minor perturbation or addition or part to its flow. The sense was that it would continue with or without us; that it knew where it was. We are the ones that have a choice to atune ourselves with it or not. Either way the Earth, the Universe and Everything goes on as it will, on it's "right" course. We have the great opportunity to link, feel and flow as one with the energies of the Earth. What ever we have to give is already given and taken. We can feel or "Be" a part of it or not as we wish. Our lives would be much better if our awareness opened up to the majesty of those flows. The thrill and the tears reflected the power of that energy as we joined in! What really carried me - that self that no longer was/is/will be - away, was the vision of the flows between Earth and Sun!!!...
This came back to my "mind", as I listened to Eckhart Tolle's the Power of Now, your title of "The World is Perfect just as it is!" and onother event of "the Universe in Motion" at our Starfest in August - coming across a powerful animation called "Gravitas".
Also, these are some of the visions shown to me by my Spiritual Guides and now are bubbling into my conscious mind. The universe unfolds, is unfolding, has unfolded, as it should and will!
So, let's hitch our collective "but(t)s" to a Star and go with the Flow, Man!!
