Life After Death

Now here is a question that has haunted us for generations. Is there really life after death? We all want to believe there is. In fact there are many many books, theories, movies, religions and mediums that will attest to this truth. But the strange part is that there is no consistent information out there. Even the major religions of the world have conflicting stories and beliefs.

So how do we know for sure or should we really even care. Perhaps we spend way to much time worrying about the after life and not enough time living a great present life. Can we ever really know for sure or do we desperately need our beliefs and feel good theories to get us through the loss and tragedy of our present life when it presents us with death.

Other interesting theories say there is no death, just a transition from one story to the next. They would say that the illusion of death is just a silly story and as meaningless as falling asleep and waking up in the dream world. Or maybe our present life is just a dream, and when in this life we dream that we die, we finally wake up to our real state of being. I would be interested to hear any I KNOW FOR SURE stories if they are out there……

This question requires deep thought...but on a gut level I suspect we cease to exist in any likeness of what we are or think we are now in this moment...the elements and energy remain...but consciousness as we know it does not...I suspect things and get indications/inclinations of "stuff" but that's all on a wider scope that the "unused" parts of my brain try to protect me from...I HOPE to wake up...Whatever, don't worry, be happy!

Hi there, just wanted to comment on your ideas. I myself do hope that as you say, when we "die" here in this "reality" it is just like waking up from a dream, in my case that would be like waking up from a bad dream, a very bad dream. So I am looking froward to that possibility. In the mean time I have to find a way to get Through this "dream" as safely & productively as possible, but I Am ready to wake up at any time, I actually pray for this, 'cause things have truely been so hard, turely like some bad dream I must be having. Been like that for Years.
I do not even Have "nightmares" anymore, 'cause my life has become one, that is why I think I might actually Be stuck in some really deep, long, bad dream! Boy, I cannot wait to wake up.
take care.

There most certainly IS life after death. Have you not read the Near-death experience literature? So many people have had these experiences, and the attempts to explain them away just do not work. Too many people have reported things that happened during their NDEs that they could not have known while 'unconscious', could not have been able to see. I have had an out-of-body experience myself where I experienced the reality that we are more than the physical things we see and the thoughts we can think here and now. There is overwhelming evidence that this earth life is intentionally cut off from the greater spiritual reality so we can have an 'independent' experience. And this evidence can be cross-validated from many reports of people across recorded history who did not know of the NDE literature, etc.

The question is not whether there is life after death, but whether we are willing to admit that reality to ourselves. There are probably many reasons a person will deny this, but we feel deep down inside and know that we are an eternal being who is on Earth having a type of 'survival camp' experience. We are experiencing things here that are unique, full freedom of choice, physical consequences, emotions that are independent of others, developing our own minds and bodies and relationships however we want, etc.
